Many of my courses in the Hussman School of Media and Journalism have allowed me to create projects based in digital editing, infographic creation, PR campaigns, and advertisements.
In MEJO 121: Digital Storytelling, I created two videos based on interviews and original film, as well as an infographic, and two sites based in WordPress and HTML/CSS.
Final Video: MEJO 121
The final video I shot and edited for MEJO 121 consists of an interview with Larkin Hill, a sophomore at UNC. In this video, she discusses her time as a Summer Orientation Leader for incoming college freshmen. We talked about the challenges she faced in the position, some highlights of her job, and the future of the UNC community, watch to find out more!
HTML/CSS
In MEJO 121, I created a website using HTML and CSS coding. On this website, I included information about myself, the work I have done for this class, and a homepage about a video I shot and edited. To view the site, click below!
Video, Infographic, and Website
For my first project in MEJO 121: Digital Storytelling, I interviewed Lindsay McRae. We discussed her role as a Vice-Head Delegate for Model UN At UNC-Chapel Hill. She told me about when she became interested in the extracurricular, some challenges she has faced and how she overcame them, and her hopes for the future.
In addition to this video, I created an infographic, and a TarHeels.live site to compliment it and add more information about the topic, and myself.

This video was made in two parts, a radio cut, and a final cut. This process allowed me to refine my own work and identify where in the process I need to develop my editorial eye. Creating multiple drafts of this video also let me familiarize myself better with Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud.
The creation of this infographic was done using both Canva and Photoshop. Using these tools to create an infographic allowed me to create not only an aesthetically pleasing design but also to get comfortable with both interfaces so I can confidently use the tools in the future.
Educational Materials Portfolio
In ENGL 301: Professional Writing in the Arts, I partnered with Ackland Art Museum to develop a comprehensive set of educational materials for their Ackland Upstairs exhibit, featuring abstract art from 4 different artists. In this portfolio, my team and I included an activity booklet, an introductory guide, interviews with relevant individuals, and more interactive materials to guide student engagement in the space. We compiled some of these materials into a website that you can view below:
